...to Hope for the Hungry and thanks for looking in.

We need your help to help the hungry and needy. You may not be able to go to help.  So we have ways you can help from where you are. Currently there are two Philippines projects.

• Feed the hungry
• Teach the uneducated
• Care for the sick & dispirited
• Provide river transport
• Build Community centres  
• Coordinate short visits
• Provide resources
• Low cost funds transfer
• Build  local support teams

A short term missions trip..... has been organised to visit San Isidro. Pauline Wuu and Patrick Chong are the movers and shakers for this area. They have seen it all before and keep going back to offer help. Then when they are back in Australia a lot of their time is spent raising funds, $1000’s of dollars a year to send back to San Isidro to fund projects and activities in the 5 churches in the area.

Going and seeing and living with the people for a few weeks is the only way to appreciate how people live with practically no income at all. Then working out how best to help them in the future from being on the spot is so much easier.

Yes, it’s true we do need you to help!  Will you help us to fund the vital work with children, prisoners, sick and dispirited in the San Isidro and Ormoc areas.

What about the three boats needed to transport people to and from five communities in the San Isidro area. These boats require constant maintenance as they are eaten by the tropical marine worms from the river. Fuel to keep them running is expensive. Most people are unemployed in this rural area.
